Frankfurt-Bangkok, recent experiences?
 

I am trying to get a couple of KTM's into Bangkok and then on to Laos. Best option would be to fly via Lufthansa cargo from Frankfurt to BKK. Has anyone done that lately and what is the process to get the bikes through custom and on the road? thanks

Flew our bike to Bangkok from India with Malaysia Airlines in January -08. We had a thai-speaking person with us, which probably helped a lot, and it took some 2-3 hours to do everything at the airport. They use their own temporary import paper (called T2, maybe?) and we got 30 days for the bike. Compared to India, it was very simple.
