India: scrapping car under CDP
 

Hi all,

I want to scrap my car in India after my travels. It is German registered.
Has anyone experience with the process?
Any tips?

If no other answer comes up and it is still roadworthy take it to Nepal and ask at the border there after it has been stamped out of India, I have seen a car sold that way to a local who knew how to sort it out with Nepalese customs.

Talk to the customs people.

They are the people who can clear your CDP. Photographs and police reports/statements may help explain your situation.

The only way to discharge your CDP in India is to surrender the vehicle to India Customs.
