india weather
can anyone tell me what the weather will be like in august as I'm planning going somewhere and quite like india for 2 weeks, hiring a bike when i get there. I would like to travell from goa to kerala or somewhere called lakdar which i was told is very nice.
if the weather is rainy there what would northern thailand be like (golden triangle). |
Martyn,
The weather should be perfect in August. It will be the tail end of the monsoon, but it usually rains overnight, making for cool, fresh days (30 to 35C). Goa, Karnataka and Kerala are my favourite states in India with beautifully lush, green countryside covered in coconut palms. Southern Indians are very friendly people and the towns/villages tend to be much cleaner than in the northern states. I'm sure you'll have great time there. If you have any more questions, drop me an email. Harvey ------------------ no pipe, no slippers www.chasingthesun.org |
Ladakh! do it. august is perect, road to there only closes in october.
but only 2 weeks?? quite short, unless you fly to ladakh from delhi, biking there takes 3-4 days. enjoy! |
Spiti River Valley
If you get to India, make sure to ride the Spiti River Valley. You will be riding roads like this!!
Get to Manali and hire a bike if you can. http://motoquest.smugmug.com/Destina..._nSudQ-M-3.jpg |
