Indian Visas... what odds if I just rock up to India on a boat with a bike?
 

Due my already well demonstarted lack of planning, I was wondering what are the odds for an Australian on a Cambodian bike to just rock up and handle the paperwork in India on the day?

Has anyone else tried just landing at teh border? What happened?

Or Bangladesh? (as above?)
 

And/Or SRi Lanka... do I need to preplan visas for all these places or can I land at a border, make my applications there and have them handled in a week or less?

Its such an easy visa to obtain, why would you risk it?

AFAIK, you'd be kicked straight out (India).
