Islamabad motorbike hire
 

Hello,

In place of a planned, uninterrupted, RTW trip I've decided that breaking it down into several highlight 'chunks' will probably be more realistic. Top of the list has always been to see and ride the Karakoram Highway.

My question is can anyone recommend a reputable Islamabad based motorbike hire company?

I've read good reports of Karakoram Bikers (Gilgit based?) but the dream has always been to ride towards the mountains rather than be deposited in them by plane.

I'd appreciate all opinions on the pros/cons of such an idea.

I can recommend Karakoram bikers and motorcycling up the KKH, I am not sure if they can arrange for you to pick a bike up in Lahore but if there are no other options go with a flight or bus up to Gilgit, it should be a highlight of your trip.

I like your idea about Karakoram Bikers possibly being able to arrange an alternative start location to Gilgit, I'll look into that further. If not then a bus journey would certainly give me more of an immersive introduction to the area.
