Kathmandu to Tibet and Back

Hi

I would like to know if its possible to drive from nepal to tibet and back on wn vehicle?? has anyone done this? i would imagine that it would be possible with a guide of somekind .

Any tips or tricks appreciated , I am due to cross in to china next week
