Hi crazy fellow overlanders,
So I will be traveling through Nepal, India, Pakistan and Iran back to Germany quite soon(screenshot of Basecamp attached) and was looking for a place to stay in: Nepal: - Pokhara (or some where between Pokhara and the boarder crossing at Dahangadi) India: - New Delhi Pakistan: - Lahore - Islamabad - Multan - Sukkur - Quetta Iran: - Zahedan - Neyriz / Estahban - Shiraz - Esfahan - Tehran - Tabriz Any suggestions as for a good Camping grounds, Hotels/Hostels, or maybe someone to contact (!) would be highly appreciated. -- on a side note, any insider tips in regards to any of these locations would be awesome as well ***Please note that this is not by itinerary - also I started another thread with the same question about Nepal, India, Pakistan and Iran here: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...#post425085*** Thanks so much for your help, Chris |
Any help is appreciated!

tonnes of cheap guesthouses in Pokhara, the very cheapest are in North Lakeside.
I lived with a wonderful woman Kaji, about 15 min walk from the lake, not far from Bullet Basecamp.. (good biker hangout) she has rooms to rent, in her homestay, somewhere for the bike, and you can eat with her or devour all the western food tempations in town. her mobile is +977 981 4170800. Her English is not 100% so please be patient. Tansen is a nice town to stay in, and the road between Tansen and Pok is amazing. Stay in Nepal as long as possible, don't use the Sunali border, but go all the way to the western border, the nepali roads are much quieter and you don't get mobbed as much as in India, the Nepali's are more reserved and respectful as a rule. Thanks a lot for your help so far.
I am currently in Lahore and will be heading to Multan tomorrow, then Sukhar and then put my bike onto the train and head via Quetta to the Iranian Boarder - because my Iranian Visa expires if I dont enter by the 25th. Its really amazing what kind of people you meet on such a trip and who hospital and friendly everyone is! Once I have a little bit more time I will write a detailed report Best, Chris |
Great Deal!!!
Where did you finally get the PAK-visa? Where are you in Lahore? Are you at the Motorbiking Club?? If so, say HI to Omar!!! Take care and let us know about your experiences!!:scooter: Bye Alex |
