Making Pakistani hotel reservations to help with visa
From another thread, making reservations with hotels in order to get a visa quickly is a good idea.
Does anyone know of any cheap places to get a reservation, have looked at a few, but they are all pretty expensive when we don't intend to use them cheers |
All I did was borrow a Lonely Planet and look up a few hotel names, then added them to my application. Worked for me - reservations weren't necessary.:innocent:

I think I just put a list of towns I said I was going on my application though it never mattered when I got there. When I rocked up to the Pak border from India, they wanted to know where I was going to be staying in Lahore but my 'oh, just wherever really' response didn't go down well. They told me to put down the 'Regal Internet' which I did which seemed to do the trick.

If you use hostelworld.com you can book hotels and then cancel them for 2 pounds (I think it was) rather then paying for the room. This is what my brother did for our trip and it worked well

We used the Ramada in Multan, and the Mirage in Lahore - neither required payment up front.

Might be different depending where you get it but we got our pak visa a week or so ago. All the guy seemed to be interested in was the LOI. Didn't ask how we were travelling so we didn't tell. :innocent: The form required a couple of places we wanted to visit so we picked a couple of tourist places on the route where flooding and security situation seemed best. But the LOI was definately the most important thing.
