Hi,

We are now in Lahore, we would like to try the Manali-Leh road in a week or so. I know that is kind of late but mybe we get lucky.

Is there anyone from the region that could tell us how is the weather this year ? Is there snow already ?

We were in the region about 3 weeks ago having gone up as far as Mcleod Ganj. It is late in the season however I think you will also have problems with some of the roads. The monsoons were quite bad this year with bridges collapsing and generally large chunks of road dissapearing.

I would suggest you ask locally before going to far as you might find you have to turn back.

Don't worry... We returned 2 weeks ago. Roads are easy, in good condition (comparing to 67C to Urdele), mostly good tarmac. We have finished it 2 weeks ago. It was difficult to find a snow over 5000 meters.
