Nepal paper maps?
Doing a fly/hire/ride to Nepal later this year (2015) and looking to take paper map. Anyone recommend a good one showing elevation and good detail ? Going tech free on this one.

:( I think you need a map reading course.
Try Googling 'topographic map Nepal' |
Yeah done that but there are several to choose from. I've found in the past that quite a few maps lack detail for some countries, indeed some simply don't have mapping. Rather than buy enough maps to wallpaper my bedroom I'm looking the benefit of others experiance in thisregion. It might be that the best ones are available in Nepal?

Or buy them in Pokhara for the Annapurna range. As said above, maps are on sale everywhere and they are not expensive. |

We arrive in Kathmandu 28th August for couple of days. Then travelling 2up on something with two round wheels, in the direction of Pokhara then .......well still looking... TBD. Being back to KTM. 13th Sept. Be good to hook up if paths cross. |
You can get MAP from Nepal tourism board or buy it from stores in Thamel.
Many riders do it same. Take Map and went for the ride. Good luck Mate!! |
