New battery in Nepal from Bangkok
 

Can anyone give me advice on getting a battery for an 1150 GS Adventure to Kathmandu? We're thinking that Bangkok might be our best option. 300% markup but at this point we just want to get on the road....

Thanks Bertrand!!! I still have to look into getting one shipped from a nearby country with bikes the same size as mine. Finding a similar amperage is difficult.

Probably to late sending this but you should get a second reicept for your battery displaying a much lower purchase price.
The Nepalese customs base their tax on this and you probably get burnt.
They will try other methods to burn you too.

Excellent. I've passed it along to the company in UK as I don't want to pay 33% tax on something ice already paid tax on.
