overland to Australia
having just done UK to Capetown Ive been idly thinking about UK/Australia via the Silk road..anyone any suggestions (dont be crazy isnt acceptable!!) as to reading material, routes etc etc

hi mate, am doing overland to Australia next year, leaving next june, my email is in link above if you want to get in contact, I am based in London at the moment. I am trying to ride accross to Mongolia then down through china(thats the hard part) getting through china! Then South east asia, island hope accross Indo and boat to Darwin.

We are doing this route right now. Look at our blog here on HU: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/tstories/mcmillan/ we will be in central asia in august and will have more info then. Going through the 'Stans and western China and onto the KKH.

Shall follow your ride with interest. My wife and I want to do a similar ride next year however london to Hong Kong. That is if I can work out a way to get a Chinese visa.
Any information that you can provide would be greatful accepted. Ken |
