Pakistan visa agents
 

Hi Guys

Does anybody know or have experience of a reputable agent , preferably in the UK, through which I can get a tourist visa for Pakistan?

Why can't you just apply at the embassy? I did (in Germany, though).

I agree, we're in Delhi at the mo, submitted our paperwork this morning (had to go to the UK embassy and get no objection letter) and will pick visas up on Tuesday.
DO NOT apply in London, go to Birmingham or Manchester and don't say your travelling overland on a motorcycle. Just say your doing some trekking.

Is getting the Pakistan visa really a problem in London?
 

I just rang the Manchester consulate to ask about applying for a visa and they said I couldn't go through them as I don't live in or near Manchester. I'd try another but given the amount of information they require and the fact that I'm down in London what in people's experience is the best way to proceed given the difficulty people seem to have getting their Pakistan visas?

Do most people tend to apply on the road? I'd rather have it sorted before we leave but ultimately will take the option with the greatest chance of success as there's no alternative route if we get refused.

Would be great to hear from some who've recently gone through this?

would be grateful to know where in Germany you got your visa, how long it took, documents required etc... Are you a Germany or UK citizen?

Go to Birmingham(if they ask why your applying there say you are working in the area and it is more convenient), don't phone beforehand, if you give them the chance to say no they will. Just rock up at the consulate hand them your paperwork through the counter, be cool and confidant, tell them you are doing some trekking in the Karokoram Range. If this is the first time you have done this it can be a head f*&k, but it's all about them being happy with you going to their country, tell them what they want to hear and i'm sure it will go OK. Sorry if I have stated the obvious but I know how I felt the first time round!

Yes, I have a German passport. As I was staying with my parents at the time the embassy website said I had to apply at the consulate in Frankfurt. I filled in the form, paid the fee at the bank and posted everything off. 5 days later I had my passport back with the visa.

However, this was in 2006, so I don't know whether they still hand out visas like this. The security situation hasn't improved in Pakistan, I hear.

I applied in London and got it the same day. You just have to provide a letter, written by yourself, about your intended route. They were really friendly and had no issues about me travelling overland.

As a European citizen you can also get your visa on entry at any border.
I travelled down the KKH from china in september and the French guy i was travelling with got his on arrival.

According to my information it is preferable to apply directly after completing the requirements. The simple mention of visa agents scares me as I have heard many stories about them.

I assume you mean september 09? If so, that's encouraging as I keep hearing horror stories about the London Consulate.

I might PM you if that's ok to get more info on what you did....

EG, that's not correct my friend, you can ONLY get a visa at SOST, entering from China on the KKH. Turning up at any other border without a visa will get you spun round 180 degrees and marched back the way you came, without a entry visa for that country as well now, major problem.
