Shipping or selling an Enfield?
Hi there!
After a few month of riding my Enfield which I bought new in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, I'm now about to deside whether to send it back home or sell it in India. First of all does anyone know if I need a NOC to sell or ship the bike in a different state than I purchased it in? It is registered in my name. Can anyone recomend a company in Dehli that is trustable and doesn't charge too much money? I will be sending it to Sweden so I wonder if anyone knows the price for sending it to Europe. On the selling part I would like to know around about what you have been selling your bikes for and how old they have been at the time of selling it. Finally I wonder what you have done with the piles of rupees you got left after selling the bike. Thanks in advance / Roran |
Have a look at http://www.horizosnunlimited.com/tri...eldindia.shtml for a story on riding it home and another link on Enfields.
Can't help with your specific questions I'm afraid. "company in Dehli that is trustable and doesn't charge too much money" - umm, you've been in India how long? And you ask? http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif sorry... couldn't help it! Hope that helps a little bit! ------------------ Grant Johnson Share the Dream! at: www.HorizonsUnlimited.com |

*** Go to Lalli Singh. I think he is in this Enfieldbusiness for over 10 Years now and is recommanded by everyone that had dealings with him. I bought my Enfield from him and I made it to Tuerkey so far overland. *havings ome probs here now*. He will send it wherever you like and he will charge around 16000 Rupees. *** On the selling part I would like to know around about what you have been selling your bikes for and how old they have been at the time of selling it. Finally I wonder what you have done with the piles of rupees you got left after selling the bike. *** No idea about the price but with the rupees you have a problem. As a nonpermanent resident you are not allowed to open a bankaccount neither to change it to foreign currency. Maybe try some dicret inquieriesin Pahar Ganj. If you need more information mail me at my backupemail: kaozium@yahoo.com. Here in Tuerkey I do not get into my primary mailadress. Stefan |
Hello matey,
First of all, good going, Bullet is a great bike (Am doing 61.000 km, 25 countries in 4 years). Shipping is very easy anywhere in India. I heard somebody shipping from Bombay (can get the address if you are interested). In Delhi there are a number of "tourist" dealers who happily help you to ship it. Very easy, they do all the paperwork as well as the crating. I shipped from Delhi to Bangkok and paid 10.000 rupees flat. Mail me if you want more details.
