Spare parts in Laos
 

Anyone know if there is anywhere I can get a new chain for a Honda Transalp? Mines done 25k km and I think it needs to be changed. It is making such an awful noise that I am worried it will snap soon.

if you haven't found it yet, ask anyone in vientiane with a Baja 250 for a guy called Fuak and he will help you. you can also check out the bike rental opposite the krop chai doe near the fountain and ask thierry. cheers

Mr Fuak is the best guy in Vientiane he's got most things in his tiny workshop. you will be able to find his address on GT - rider web site or just ask any expat on a bike to shop you. If he doesn't have it, he maybe able to help you source it from Thailand. The option you have is getting it sent over from Thailand - again GT-rider has all the information. PhnomPehn is another place you can get heaps of motorbike gear/parts from if you can hold out until then! In the mean time.... don't load up bike up too much and take it real easy over the bumps! I've travelled a long way on the last notch!
