Storing a motorbike in Nepal or India
 

Does anybody know how long it is possible to keep a motorcycle under carnet in the country?

It most certainly depends on your visa and the expiry date of your carnet.
Remember,you can't officially leave the country with out the vehicle.

Just check both of them.

India a total of 180 days in the 12 months period of the carnet and they keep to it very strictly and used to write your bike into your passport. Nepal is probably the same but their customs can be more flexible and if it is not written into your passport 180 days.
Strictly speaking you are not supposed to leave the country with the bike in on a carnet but I have heard rumour of people doing it. :whistling:
