Does anyone knows what`s a duration of transit visa for Iran ?

One more question .. Can i get transit visa in some country that is along the way in my route or i must obtain it in my country regularly in Iran ambassy ?

Travellers I met extended their transit visas with no probs in 2003. Why go for a transit visa?
I got a 1 month tourist visa. Lovely country, friendly people - what's the rush?

yes in 2003 was still possible to extend the transitvisas but now no more.
and yes better you ask for a touristvisa, nice country, friendly peoples etc.
better you apply for your visa in your country, because sometime you have to wait up to 2 weeks

I agree with both of you .. and tnx for tips,but i dont have time to wait regular 2 weeks for tourist visa,since my timetable is too tightened,and i must departure Belgrade in 8 days now .. so i have a thought that it would be easer to obtain a transit visa witch i can probably get in less time .. And 7 days is all i need for Iran for this time :)

Can a UK national get a transit visa at the Iranian border? I'm getting mighty confused about visas for Iran so any help would be appreciated

Hi I have just retuned from a week in Iran. I had to visit the Iranian Embassy in London to get my visa, in all it took over a week to obtain and that was with the assistance of MAFIRI ( motorcycle automobile federation of the islamic republic of Iran). A friend who wanted to go with me could not obtain a visa in time, it takes most people a minimum of 2 weeks. Hope this helps.
