Way from Trabzon (Turkey) to Russia
Hi guys
We're in Trabzon now and choosing a way to get home in Moscow. * It seems like no ferry trabzon-sochi anymore. Local guy called to the seaport for me. Anybody know anything? May be another port? * Is there a ferry from Georgia (Batumi or Poti) to Russia (Sochi, Novorossiisk, Kerch, Sevastopol)? * is it possible to transit through Abkhazia? (Assume I'm ready to throw away my passport after? |
There are ferries from Poti to Odessa. Turkey to Russia I am not sure, but have not heard of one.
Driving through Abkhazia from Georgia to Russia was possible in the past (I did it in 2010), but I have not heard of anyone doing it recently. The easiest route would be driving through the border at Kazbegi / Verkhny Lars. Good luck EO |
Thanks.
As I understand, the problem with Abkhazia is not only with waisted passport. Looks like I might get into Georgian black list independently to which passport I'll use next time I'll go to Georgia. Yeah, seems kike we'll go through Vladikavkaz |
I left Georgia via Abkhazia, so had no exit stamp, in 2010.
2014 and 2015 I returned with a different passport and had no problems. I may have just been lucky though. Also, I hear that the Georgians are stricter with the rule with Russian citizens than others, so it's probably best to be careful. |
