We shipped from Kathmandu to Malaysia
 

Just collected our 2 bikes in Kuala Lumpur and I can now say this is by far the easiest bike shipment we have ever done. Price was also ok: two Husky 701's LR with plenty of luggage and riding gear in one crate.

Costs Nepal side: 800 USD/bike, 1600 USD in total all included
Costs Malaysia side: 45 USD/bike, 90 USD in total

We see people still advising Eagle Export but they were over a 1000 USD more expensive than Teamwork Cargo. They also swore 1 crate was not possible for Nepal Airlines. He said he checked with the airline. NOT!

So we shipped 1 crate with two bikes totally hassle free with Teamwork Cargo (Whatsapp +977 974-5327749). They were really helpful and responsive and stuck 100% to their quote. Great guys, great service, highly recommended!

Three friends of ours also shipped with them to France and Europe with prices up to 600 USD per bike cheaper than Eagle Exports.

Tried entering a shipping experience in the HU shipping database but their page keeps throwing an error code.

NEPAL side

We built the crate to our preferences (compact, light yet strong) together with the carpenter from Team Work. We did so at the secluded parking of the Backpackers Inn, 5 min walk from Team Work Cargo. That is recommended because otherwise we had to do it outside in a busy street. Then they took the crate to customs in a little truck where we put the bikes in the crate. Customs stamped the carnets right away and didn't even bother checking the VIN numbers.

Just be sure to start ATM runs asap in order to get the cash together as Nepal has a weekly limit for withdrawal so sufficient time and/or multiple credit cards might be required. They also accept USD and EUR at the official daily exchange rate. As usual, it is payment bedore shipment.

MALAYSIA side

The whole process in Kuala Lumpur took about three hours and that includes uncrating and reassembling the bikes at the warehouse:

1. Book a room in Tune Aeropolis Hotel (5 min walk from customs and warehouse)
2. Get in touch with Mr Cheong (whatsapp: +60 11-1235 9976) who arranged for the required ICP and insurance in a matter of hours
3. Get your free acces permit for the Cargo Village at SCAF, first floor, 5 min walk.
4. To customs with your carnet
5. Collect the bikes from MASCargo warehouse (core 2 ground floor)
6. Final check by customs and off you go!

Unfortunately there is a bug in the system caused by Google changing the API, which now seems worse yet again. :( Thanks for letting me know.
Annoyingly, the info is saved into the database, but something goes wrong on displaying the result message to you.
We have it in the plans to fix it, but it's not super high on the priority list unfortunately. Prioritizing SUCKS, but must do when you have limited people and very limited funds. I will work on a work-around for now.

was looking for some info to ship my bike from KL to Kathmandu, and saw your post.
Are the costs you mentioned inclusive of the actual air freight charges?
if not, can you tell me what the cost of actual freight was? Did you buy freight insurance?

That was all costs included, so also air freight. We didn't buy insurance though.
