An alternative to the Royal Enfield in India?
 
Honda India has announced it'll be selling the CBF250l in India.

Honda shows off CRF250L| Zigwheels.com

With a spec similar to the proven Yamaha Wr250r and at a price of 150000INR (£1750approx) on the road.

OK it hasn't got the romance of the mechanical dinosaur the Bullet, but for an adventure trip in India I know which I'll be choosing.

It looks like a very capable bike for the job, I have had a couple of Honda XL250 in the past, not exactly the same I know but have thought them up to a steady tour, if I was in the market I would probably choose one of these over an Enfield.
