Rally Raid Products have now made a replacement sprocket cover with a gear shift rod saver incorporated into it. I've just bought and fitted one to my 300 Rally ready for my upcoming trip.

The BMW G650 X Challenge had a big problem with the OEM shifter lever being made out of aluminum and bending the shift shaft after a fall.

When I rode the TAT it felt like I was bending my shifter lever every other day. I kept having to switch it out with my spare and than find of rocks or a road sign, so I could bend my steel shifter shaft back to the normal position.
