Honda 300 Sahara
 

Its made in Brasil so mostly for the south-American market I guess, but I seen the bike mentioned in indian medias too.

Based on the XRE300 Honda have made a new-ish bike in 3 different models. Standard, Rally and Adventure. Still uses the 293 cc air and watercooled engine from the XRE, but its now paired with a 6 speed gearbox, 13 liter tank, 148 kilos weight, 21/18 wheels, around 25-26 HP depending on the source.

A bit steeply priced at approx 5700 USD for the top model (Adventure) But hey I reckon it could be a great alternative for those who fly over to south-America and purchase a bike there. 300 cc and 150 kilos is near an ideal bike for south America in my eyes.

Currently waiting for it to be released in Peru so I can purchase one for upcoming adventures!

I have ridden the XRE300 and can't wait to try the Sahara! Looks like a great SA bike.

Anybody have an update on availability in Peru?
