Honda C50 Or C70 Or Townmate

Hey Friends

I recently done a trip across West Africa backpacking and hitchhiking along the way but since i returned i had this idea of making it by motorycle .. after some search i end up finding c90 as the best cheapest ride to make it by

Anyway i end up finding in my country only this 3 C50 1971 C70 1995 and Yamaha Townmate Not Sure if it's V80 or some other mark and finally The China c90 :( which we have plenty down here ..

Btw here is a picture of the Yamaha that i don't know : http://content.avito.ma/images/65/6590099620.jpg
Another one for the the C70 1995 :

And here is the c90 ( china ones .. ) : Sx110-9c Africa Hot Selling Docker C90 Moto Maroc - Buy Docker C90 Moto Maroc,Hot Selling Docker C90 Moto Maroc,Africa Hot Selling Docker C90 Moto Maroc Product on Alibaba.com

Please can u help me decide on which one to pick for this journey i don't know much about motorcycles so any informations would help me alot ! and if u think there is alternative on the same budget let me know ! :scooter:

Thank you in advance

I'd go for any made in Japan bike over any Made in China - HUGE difference in reliability. Parts availability is a factor, so it depends on what is being sold locally, and where you are going.
A Japanese C90 is indestructible - almost - and cheap to repair. Yamaha of similar style is very good too. Bigger engine is definitely better, but most important is that made in Japan label.

Don't go on the C50 - it's just too slow and the lower fuel usage isn't enough to compensate.

I'd happily go on a C90 though, but it would have to be a Japanese one rather than Chinese version. It's a long ride, much of it through open desert with little traffic, and reliability really has to be no 1 on your list - especially if you're going on your own.

Thanks for your advice but just so i know.. can't i get the C50 and change the engine and some parts ? and it would be better then the C90 ?
Anyway could u just let me know which is better either to get the C50 And change the engine (if possible) Or Getting The C70 1995 And change her engine again if possible.. Grant Johnson thanks for the tip in fact they are both made in japan C70 And C50 :scooter:

I really don't know much about changing parts or engines on those bikes so I can't offer any advice.

I have travelled the atlantic route and through West Africa a couple of times though, as well as a few longish trips by 50cc Honda and I wouldn't want to mix the two. I'm not saying the bike wouldn't do it - the atlantic route and much of west africa is mainly flat so you could cruise along at 40-45kph but a C90 would just make it that little bit easier.
