Moto Guzzi V7 - Adventurizable?
Hi All, The new MG V7 Classic is out this year, fantastic looking bike, shaft drive, 182kg dry, 18 litre tank, proven reliable basic air cooled engine ( which in the Breva gives 55+mpg ), 50 hp (keeps license clean) the low pipes make mounting panniers close to bike easy, however the front wheel could perhaps do with being 19" (or21")to make the most of the wide range of good dual sport tyres ( tourances etc ) for occasional gentle offroading, would anyone know if changing the front wheel from 17" -19" would be possible - would it ruin the handling? where would I source the wheel from? Any thoughts ?

In my humble opinion anything over 125cc or 12 BHP is okay for long distance travel. One chap even went round the world on an old 50cc Puch Maxi moped!
Providing it's a reliable bike then I don't think the make or model is really that important. It goes without saying that any offroad adventures are probably done best on an offroad Trail bike (of any size over 125cc). All the very best. Happy & Safe travels. :scooter: |
