My 18 year old son wants to ride with me for the first time! Yippiee.... I plan to make our first adventure together to Morocco. Been there before. It has all the elements for an adventure.

Since this is will be his first mc-trip, and first trip to Africa, I plan to make it a ligth trip mostly on tarmac.

My challege is as following.... His first driverlicense for a MC will be restricted to either 25kw (or 34HP).

Hi is rather tall... 183cm and unexperienced. His wish is an offroad-type of bike.

Any suggestions for what bike to get him with those restrictions and limitations?

How about the F650 GS Dakar. Ideal for a tall rider, reasonably light and robust. I'm sure it's available in the UK with the 33bhp limit for newer riders.

... got some more info. The focus is on cubic cc. Not above 600 cc Must be 699 or less..

I ride a BMW F650 Dakar my self. Would preferred him to ride the same, but 650cc is 51 cc to much.

Thinking about Yamaha Xt600 from the early 90's

Check with your automobil club on whether his licence is valid at all outside Norway and Europe!
