New Aprilia 660 Tuareg

New Adv/travel/dual sport bike in the make. Not many detalis or specs known for the moment but it will use the engine from the RS 660 which is a paralell twin with around 100 HP.

Hope they keep it lo-tech and simple

Taking a leaf out of Yamaha's book, perhaps...

Now finally the Tuareg seems to ready to be sent out to the dealers.

Specs tells us it weighs in at 187 kilos dry, 80 HP, 18 liter gas tank amongst others….

Blurb from aprilia suggest that its bias is more off road . Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh . Price will have to undercut the T7 to get sales.........of any significance otherwise it will remain niche which is a shame as I like aprilia.

And the first testride is done. The bike isnt totally set yet but still…..

Looking at the specs it out electronics the T7 , which makes me wonder who they are aiming it at.....spec sounds more like a Ktm to me . ....wonder what its otr price will be ?

Going full into trend for lighter adv looking motos. Lighter bikes with medium electronics to garantee safety and easy handling. Not everybody wants to ride a heavy bavarian cow. Seat height and weight is interesting for woman too who are in the moment the most interesting target group which spent more money than guys for motos. Think price will be around 12.000€ in Europe.

Well I wish them luck.....T7 is prob the most reliable engine on the market at the mo and Yamaha Europe's spares back up from a dealer point of view , again is pretty damned good . Think the aprilia will be a hit in Europe not so sure about the UK........

The bike is beautiful, and probably loads of fun. But it's not for me. Reliability is a big question mark. Weight is more than the T7, but it might be less top heavy? Still too heavy for a solo rider (depends where you ride ofc).

I ride and own a T7 and never really found it top heavy. Is that something people think about the T7?

It's what I and some others think yes. I would not be able to pick it up if I dropped it in a bad spot.
