Off road bikes ? (for a short person)

Hi folks :confused1:

What Off Road bikes , 350cc and above, would be suitable for me bearing in mind I'm 5ft 6 ( 172cm ) inside leg about 30 inches ( just !!). Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers :thumbup1:

Hi

Im 5ft 4 and have an Xt 350 which is no problem at all very light and easy to manage and provided you dont want to travel too fast is more than adequate for most things. I also have two (well one is the better halves 5ft 2) xt 600 e's one 94 which ive lowered by droppin the forks through and fitting a corbin seat, its no problem at all but heavier the other is 2000 (feels higher) standard which I ride most of the time and will be much happier when ive found a lower seat but im managing at the mo. Possibly going to sell the 350 soon as I could use the money to spend making some racks for the others.

DRZ400S with Talon lowering links & the forks pushed through the yokes by 20mm would suit you. You'd need 'bar risers also to allow you to push the forks through the yokes though.

My partner is about your height, has a DRZ with same set-up, works fine.

Honda Transalp

The Honda Transalp is a fairly low and capable travelling bike. If it is still too high Hagon will make you up a shorter shock to lower it further, a last resort would be have the 21 inch front wheel laced up with a 19 inch rim, although this is quite expensive with little gain, or is that loss?.
