SWM
Hi
Anyone done a long trip on a SWM? Thanks |
Apparently not! Unless they're still out there somewhere? I remember a long trip report over on Adv by fishfund on a Husky TE610 - very similar bike I think. Smooth for a single, wide ratio 6 speed box, similar weight to your crf500l. Good on paper.

If you mean the new 650 SuperDuals then there's a bloke in Turkey heading east right now, afaik. He's had a few issues but is still rolling along.
Tried one last week. Nice motor, not sure about the bike. |
A few tried crossing Australia on one (that i know off).
None have made it successfully (that I know of). All have had issues with the topend (that I know of)- presumably to do with the lower octane fuel in the great-centre. |
Also note hat Zorro Moto based in Osh in Kyrgyzstan has a few as fleet bikes as of earlier this year. They guide off road tours using the SWM superdual as well as rent them out.
