SWM Super Dual 650

Surprisingly I haven't found anything about that interesting traveler bike on the forum, so here's a thread for the SWM Super Dual 650.

Last year I got very excited when Honda released its new Africa Twin. However, having seen it a few times in the shop, what a beast! Kerb weight 232 kg for the manual gearbox version, that speaks for itself.

In contrast, the SWM's kerb weight seems to be only 169 kg - so that would be over 60 kg less than the Africa Twin. And that includes crash bars and the central stand.

Here above, I wrote that the weight seems to be 169 kg because about every web page on that bike reports a different weight. I've seen everything from 159 to 186 kg. Even on SWM official webpages they don't really seem to know: the Italian webpage states PESO IN ORDINE DI MARCIA SENZA CARBURANTE kg 169 and the German one Trockengewicht 174 kg.
WTF? :)

Anyway that's a quite interesting offering for long trips that include offroad sections. There are 2 versions: the X model, with 21"/18" wheels, and the T model with 19"/17" wheels. Also worth mentioning is the 'friendly' price: around EUR 8000.

At the time of writing this the Super Dual has already been released in a few countries, among which UK and Australia. Would be nice if real users could report here their 'reviews'. I'm especially interested in hearing how reliable that bike is :scooter:
