What modifications to 1150GS
 

So I just bought a 1150 GS for my RTW trip starting in May.
What Modifications should I do????
Lights, Crash Bars, GPS, Luggage????
Please give me recomondations on which type for these things and any other ideas.
I bought a 2004 GS with 4000 miles.

Either replace the headlights with HID or fit additional spot or driving lights (HID?)

Decent crashbars are a must, you could also consider Stanton headguards? They're heat treated cast aluminium guards that

Aftermarket suspension front & rear?

Decent panniers, tankbag & possibly tank panniers also. You can buy tank panniers that are built in to the tank bag or take the cheap option of using ex-military gasmask bags or similar.

Make sure you're familiar with doing as much of the servicing yourself as possible. Get up to speed on changing your own tyres also.

Before leaving on your trip, pack everything you think you'll need & go for a decent ride & try accessing everyting you've packed. This experience may encourage you to pack differently or junk some stuff altogether. Remember to keep the weight down low where possible.

You could consider fitting the 30 litre tank from an Adventure if you've not already got one?
