Hey Steff,

Leaded/Unleaded - I can't tell you exactly what % I fueled with leaded or unleaded cause since you mainly have only 1 type of petrol in each station, I've rarely asked. But if I remember right, I think most of the coutries I've travelled at in Africa are using unleaded fuel those days; not sure though.

Thanks for the reply. Wouldn't suspect that leaded would cause her to run badly, just that it will kill the cat slowly. Let us know what they measure at your next ASU. Had an emission test done as a freeby at my dealer and it was OK. A few times in Iran I wasn't sure if it was unleaded.

Now the bike is registered in New Zealand. No emission test there :-)

Cheers,
Steff

It will come as no surprise to those who know me, that in my humble opinion a YAMAHA XT600E ticks all the boxes here.

It's cheap, well made, unfussy with fuel, robust, simple, reliable and above all the engine is bulletproof.

What more could you want from a RTW trail bike?

Good luck and stay safe.
