Hi Twinkle
Can I suggest you look at the Mirena coil? This is a contraceptive coil which also releases a low dose of a hormone used in pills. The benefits of having one is that they stay in place for five years and your periods often stop all together or become so light as to be neglible. It also helps with PMT! This has certainly made my travels sooooo much easier!:thumbup1: Audrey |
depo Provera
As a gynecologist i would highly recommend the Mirena! It lasts 5 years with a 40% chance of not having to have a period at all. I have not had one for over 3 years. The side effects are minimal. The problem with Depot provera is that it causes huge weight gain in most women and a lot more irregular bleeding in many. Sara

If you don't like the idea of an IUD, my daughter and I have had the Nexplanon implant fitted (upper arm) and it lasts 3 yrs:

nice idea too, but implant has more systemic side effects. sara
