Mongolia- Here I come...
At last - I'll be heading out on the road again, across Europe, the 'Stans and into Mongolia - on Thelma my BMW R80GS :mchappy:
She's a bit ragged round the edges but ready for the journey. I'll be going alone, although a couple of friends are going to join me for sections - April in Georgia (10 days) and then Ann in Uzbekistan - for about two months through to Mongolia. My boyfriend gets to do the first 48 hours with me to Germany. However - are there any other women riding or pilion going that way this year? All I can find are the names of blokes on the various posts and threads. |

Don't 'B' deficient. Put some sun in their lives.
I hit Tiffany's blog (yet again) today and read about the children (and adults) suffering from rickets in Mongolia. There was a mention of the charity aspect of this brave and inspirational trip which had not registered with me previously, so I clicked on the 'help children' link.
I was ashamed. One donation only (well done Jim). Many (most?) people visiting the HU site don't have the opportunity to go on an adventure like this for a variety of reasons, in my case, cowardice. However, I'm sure that practically all of us could afford to give a little something to this thoroughly worthy cause, if only in recognition of Tiffany's achievements. Usual disclaimer.
