:thumbup1: What kind of oil have you been using? Any compression test lately?

I gave my 2003 model a new piston at 128.000km. The ringshad almost 1,, ring gap, but it didnt use oil.

Everything else looked and worked fine, and the bike didnt seem to gain power with a rebuild. I just thought I'd be better safe than sorry, because I use it to commute to work.

I've been using dino oil (although not much) semi synthetic, and full synthetic, in just about avery viscocity range, 5w40, 10w/40, 10w50, 20w50.

I've been using a lot of different brands, but mostly Procycle from louis, fullsynthetic 10w50. I've been chaning oil at around 5000km, and oilfilter very 2 or 3 times (have never seen any "dirt" in them)

Im closing in on 160.000km..

Im using basic 10w40 oil, service every 5/6 k. No compression test. Yes I could check to see. I grinded the exhaust header to smooth it out to remove the "bump"(.Excuse my english im French). It seems to have improved the exhaust gaz flow a lot. This with a k & n filter and Arrow silencer. The engine is much more flexible than before.????I can go down to 2250/2500 rpm in all gear. It s a cool bike , bullet proof.
