1985/86 Tenere
 

I am looking for a Tenere to do a trans Africa trip. I have been advised to get a late 80's model. A dealer told me that in 1985/86 a slightly bigger Tenere was produced, but only for one year. Can this guy be trusted, or is he a dodgy dealer?

heavier? then he is partly right.

leave beside the teneres produced for the paris-dakar rallye, this is something else.
e.g. in p-d '88 there was a water-cooled, single-cylinder 750 cc tenere.

thanks Klaus, the bike i saw definately stands bigger than the others i've seen but i guess thats because the back shock has been extended.

sorry i forgot to make it clear that it is the XT600 tenere that i am looking at.
