1Vj Tyre Sizes
 

Trying to order some MT21s for my 1986 1Vj. Can anybody tell me if these are the correct sizes ?

FRONT: 90/90 54R/21 TT AV MT 21

BACK: 120/90 65R/18 TT AR MT 21

by the way, each of these is less than £40 if ordered in France.

Not too sure about those sizes my friend, but you should be able to get tyres cheaper than that... I asked in my local Husqvarna dealer and they got me a pair of Husky OEM Metzeler Karoos, which are too big for my 3AJ.

They fit, and clearance is not a problem. I have been VERY impressed, both in terms of wear and traction. The only slight compromise is in the wet on asphalt, where the big blocks can be a bit scary http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/wink.gif

I think they wear better than Deserts though. The other benefitis that the taller profile of the rear tyre changes the handling (for the better). The best thing? The 60 quid A PAIR price tag, direct from Husky UK.
