My 3AJ has been stolen by "joy riders". They have vandalised the bike and I now need to sell it. I have nowhere to repair the bike as I have no garage. I am looking for another XT.

The bike is an original UK bike registered in 1989 (G plate). It has covered just over 40k miles. Although the motor hasn't been rebuilt, it is mechanically quiet, doesn't smoke and sounds great (in every gear!).

The bike was in A1 condition when it was taken. I had just paid to get the valve clearances done, had new oil and filter (which I had been doing every 2500 miles anyway) and I had new pads and both calipers serviced.

The bike has an Arrow Paris-Dakar exhaust and I have the original. I also have lots of spares... but it has been damaged.

* The side panels are missing
* The headlights are broken
* Some engine hoses have melted
* The plastic lenses on the clocks are broken
* The wiring has been messed with.

The bike has MOT and tax until September and has not been written off or anything. It has a V5 and the engine will be running again within the next few days.

The best offer I get will get the bike.

Can't buy the bike but would like to give my Condolences. It is something I've feared happening to me here in DK where there are also loads of 'joy riders'.

I know how you feel, same happened to me. My 3TB got stolen 3 times in Amsterdam. First time I found it back myself not so far away, second time police found it after a weekend of joyriding [no joy for me] and last time never found it back.
I don't go to Amsterdam anymore on the bike unless I can stay on it.
