3AJ holding back at around 4500rpm...
I am driving a 3AJ down to africa but at this moment it is holding back like shocking a little as if it miss fires or doesnt get a spark at around 4500 rpm if I go over that everything is fine and under that aswell but 4500 rpm is my cruissing rpm... so if anyone knows the problem and how to fix it drop a line below...

Have had similar problems with a 55W.
Steps to take: 1. Clean airfilter thoroughly. Flush in petrol at least three times and put on new clean oil. Dusty conditions: once every two days! 2. Check ignition parts by exchanging them: alternator with pickups, CDI, HT coil 3. Check carburettor needles: wear scratches along the needles give temporary mixture enrichment when opening / closing throttle or when second stage cuts in 4. Check fuel bowl level (easily adjustable) Recommend you do 1) and 4) first as 2) and 3)need spares. Let us know the results! Auke |
