3AJ Swingarm pivot shaft
Hi does any one know the correct part no for a 3AJ swingarm pivot shaft.
I have been given one 34K2214101 but think it may be the wrong one. still not found a site with part no for a 3AJ model if any one can help. Thanks |

Looking at my 3AJ parts guide i think the number is 1VJ-22141-00. It has the narrative of Shaft, pivot.
My main pc has thrown a tantrum so i'm on my netbook hence not being quite sure. Hope this helps. |

I use the parts list for a 43F for most bits on my 34L, the number you quote is the early one for 43F/34L. pdf's of parts list can be found here www.xt600.de xt600 xt600e Tenere Ténéré - XT 600 von Yamaha they don't have a pdf for the 3AJ but do have one for much later models, and looks like the part starts with prefix 1VJ as quoted above. so I reckon the pivot shaft changed when the 1VJ came out, so thats the one you need. your local Yamaha dealer should be able to confirm.......if he's looking at the parts list for the correct model... my swingarm linkage is all in bits at the moment awaiting new bushes and collar for bottom link where it attaches to frame + one bearing for the other end of bottom link. the bearing is about 25% of the yamaha cost if you go direct to your local bearing supplier. a bit stuck on the bushes and collar though, £32 from yamaha, but they will press in the bushes F.O.C. hope that helps Andy 24 yrs of wear, the bearings on the swingarm pivot and linkage pivot were OK, just both ends of this bottom link. http://lh5.ggpht.com/_aJzSBN66Sc0/Se...0/DSC04162.JPG |
