86 XT 600 hicupps at full throttle
 

This little annoying problem has got me frustrated. Carb was cleaned, new plug and air filter cleaned, new crank oil - still when I'm hammering on it thru the gears she gives me a hicupp stutter and I loose power. Only when I back off does she clear up. It does the same thing when she is running hot in heavy traffic and sometimes bogs out and dies but will re-start first kick. I'm not new to Enduro biking but this prob has me loosing more hair. If anyone can offer a suggestion(s) I'll buy you a couple cold beers if you come to Sault Ste Marie, Ont. Canada.Attachment 2416

mine (34L) does the hiccup thing aswell. I'm sure its the carbs. and i'm sure its the second CV carb. but I haven't been able to sort it.

anyone else had this problem?

Hey, my 89 used to behave like that too, mainly when I opened up the throttle it would buck a little & stall. I tried all sorts of things until one day I checked the petcock..yup, gunked up. Cleaned it and it's been running fine since then (knock on wood). Not saying that's what it is, but you might want to at least eliminate that possible problem.

good thought, but no problems with my fuel flow

take a look at your carb gaskets/intake setup. could be that too much air is being drawn into the combustion chamber.
