Air filter

Hi,

I was told to remove part of the air filter as the engine was running to rich.
So i removed the side panel..but then I think to much air was getting into the carb.
So I just removed the top part of the air filter just under the saddle. Is it the right thing to do to increase torque??
I'm sure it's not good when the bike is used off road, to much dirt could get into it..Any comment would be very welcome...

Many thnaks

We cannot help you if you keep on not telling what bike you have.

I think it's better to not remove a part of the airfilter, as it is one of the most important things to make the bike run.

What you can do is a good cleaning of your filter of fit another one. A K&N filter is one of the best filters on the market.

They let more air in, wich increases the vitality of the bike + the only need a cleanup every 50000 km.
A good investment!
