brakes 90 xt 600

I am having difficulty in stopping. I installed new pads and bleed them too. I have to press hard for them to stop. They are not spongy like there is air in there, but it feels like the they are low thanks for your help

My '91 was like this. I replaced the disks with named ones (Koyoto IIRC) and it improved them dramatically. They actually work as "stoppers" now instead of "slowers". I have a rear master cylinder to do. I have now fitted another rear caliper and bled them twice but there is still too much pedal travel.

hi if not already fitted fit some braided hosing, because if its the original hosing its getting a bit old and expands ,steve

agree with that completely, just had the problem on an old z250, brake hoses had lost their internal rigidity and were expanding and as such a lot of pressure was being lost via the pipe bulging. Go stainless and never worry again.
Bandit127, I have a good rear master cylinder spare for a 97 xt600 and am in southampton so you can contact me if you want

Measure and give them excactly the length you need, maybe bike is raised and you need longer in the back than factory.
