Caliper rebuild
 

Just got the Yamaha caliper rebuild kits for my 3AJ.
Still learning mechanical skills, what is the red stuff for?

Lubrication. Brake fluid does not lubricate at all, so smearing this stuff around the inside of the caliper, where the piston goes, helps inserting the piston and keeps it moving freely in use.
