cam chain tensioner
 

hi there guys i would like to check the cam chain tensioner to see what notch / setting it is on . if i just undo the two ( allan key ) socket caps and remove the tensioner will the adjuster not just fully adjust as i remove it ? . there must be a way of locking it , the same as to install it , so whats the way to do it . thanks zigzag :helpsmilie:

To see what setting the tensioner is on you must first remove the tensioner centre bolt and spring, then remove the tensioner from the cylinder.
When refitting you must refit the spring and centre bolt last.
