carb leak
 

The metal fuel pipe into my carb is leaking....it rotates 360 degrees so is not threaded...I hope....does anyone know a fix for this ? maybe pull it out and put some tape in to form a better seal?...all help welcome...:helpsmilie:

I have not had this problem on my XT's but on another bike... I have fixed this problem with some JB weld.

Pull the pipe out. Clean and then roughen with fine sand paper.. Assemble with JB weld, very thin layer on the pipe.

So cleaned and prepared the pipe and have used scotchweld.....will take overnight to harden so will check again tomorrow night when I start work again and will report back the findings.....there was no seal inside....just pulled straight out so in theory the scotchweld should work....:thumbup1:
