I bought one recently from The UK's biggest choice of motorcycle parts for Japanese and European machines.
Based in the UK, they charged me 109.99 GBP plus postage. They sell all sorts of things for XTs, including exhausts and all service parts.

Bloody Hell! I'm glad I acted when I did. Because I'm not heading off to far flung parts just yet, I'm spending my time carefully selecting the upgrades and changes I want to make to the bike. But your experience goes to show that it's sometimes better not to think about things too long.
