Changing front/top fairing panel and headlight..
 

Hi all, I got a -93 XT600E a few months ago and its fun riding it but as we know the wind causes problems at motorway, so Ive been thinking about a windshield.. I was also thinking if I could modify the front end by changing the whole front light and fairing panel and all.

Have you done this? Cant find any pictures of XT:s with different headlight and windshield.

It would look nice if it had a twin headlight and a windshield/front panel like in some teneres and africa twins :) Would be an interesting and fun project.

This what I use.It cost all of $50 and was easy to install. I think others on this forum use something similar.

What about looks?
 

It is many windshields out there that will fit an XT or a TT or such alike, but to find one that also makes the bikes look good... hm, no. The screen usually look "added" to the front instead of integrated - a misfit instead of fit.

Now I see that MRA (.de) have made an attempt with these two models. What do you think about the Vario Touring Screen to the right? Anyone tried it? It would be interesting to see what it looks like on one of our enduros and get some feedback about its usability.

Thanks for the photos. I think that the above windshield looks good. But it wouldn't need to have the top piece on it. It could be made from one piece. Here's some ideas...
