Clutch cable TTR600RE
Has anybody bought a Clutch cable recently for a TTR600RE ? Ive had trouble finding any online and the shop I normally get Yamaha parts from have just quoted me £48.00 surely that cant be right they should be less than £15.00.
Can anybody help please or reccomend an aftermarket supplier ? I checked wemoto website non listed but havent contacted them Is it possible to have new cables fitted in to your outer ? |
You can try KEDO - Performance Products they carry all kinds of Yamaha stuff.

Hi
I think you may have trouble getting a cable see http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...ch-cable-35397 If it is the inner cable that has broken you could make up a inner and use a solderless nipple Solderless - You may have to cut the nipple down to fit the lever. Do you know how much diferent the TTRE cable is to a XT600e cable as the XT should be avaible for less then £20 The cable for a TTR kick start model is also about £48 but I use a cable part no 7 L 26 55U-01 which is about £15 the cable is about 8 cm longer but the same nipples the clutch is a bit stiff because of the way you need to route the longer cable I am trying to shorten one at the moment. The AA breakdown have the stuff to make up/repair cables my friend had one on his TTR which worked fine. You could also try Welcome to Venhill they may be able to make you a cable if you send them your old one |
Thanks for the replies, I tried Kedo and not available, I'm a bit wary of them solderless nipples has i'd tried one before on an old trail bike and i'm not sure if it failed ?
That venhill sounds promising if they will make one up, Ill give them a ring. Edit* Been in touch with Venhill, £21.00 plus Vat and P&P to copy your cable, Inner and outer. £10.00 plus Vat and P&P to use your outer sleeve and fit new inner. Sounds good to me, cheers bolla. |
yup - the price sounds right. around 45 quid.
and i eventually got mine from motoward: http://www.motoward.co.uk/ but it took a while to get in, matter of luck with stock availability in europe i suppose. good luck with yours! |
