Crash Bars with Skid Plate
 

Hi there,

Has anyone fitted the SW Motech crash bars along with the CRD bash plate? Can they both be fitted together OK?

Bike I'm aiming to fit them both to is a 03 XT600E.

No idea, but I have a CRD bash plate on the same bike so if you need a picture of how it fits, let me know.

I would be interested to hear if your fitting of both the CRD bash plate and the SW Motech crash bars was a success.

According to this post http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...002-model-5730 the CRD bash plate is not compatible with the H & B crash bars.

Depends on the model. Your photo is of a 4PT. The frame is different on these later models.

By the way, Baldreverend, going back to the original post, did you ever get an answer to your question, I.e. do the SW crashbars and CRD bash plate fit together?

Has no-one in this group tried fitting these together??!! I would like to know too (it's my wife's and she tends to drop things). I e-mailed a supplier of both items and got no reply. Mine is an 03/ 4PTB.

If you look at this you see that the plate will hit the bar, so you most likely will have to give it som cut.

No i didnt post any image, just compared pictures avaible. You see the height of the bashplate below oilplug, low mounting on the crashbar is below this and it seem to me that maybe it will tale a hit upper part of plate, a little cut in plate or the bar will fix it.

Yes, I see what you mean. Looking at the CRD image of the bash plate it appears that all that would be required is to cut a small section out of the top of the bash plate where it would snag on the bars.
