Cylinder head composite

Hello guys,
I have a problem with my cylinder head and i need to weld something at it. Do you have any ideea from what composite is made?

I think you are possibly referring to aluminium alloy? Composite would typically be a plastic. Apologies if English is not your first language, but the quality of replies may be better if we talk about welding alloy.

The exact alloy is going to vary with the model of bike. The odd Enfield may still be cast iron. What are you trying to Weld onto which sort of bike? MIG set up for aluminium will do most, but beyond that I'll wait for a more expert welder to comment.

Have welded many japan made heads and parts without problem, it's a normal casting aluminum alloy that doesnt present much issues to weld.
Best would be to use TIG - tungsten inert gas - rather than MIG though

but what is the problem, are u sure you need to weld?

thank you for correcting me.

I think i need to replace de cylinder head, when i find one. But until then, i want to weld it, it's a "hole", near tachometer. There was a bolt old which was destroyed, and i need to drill it. My mistake was, that i drill to much until i penetrate de cylinder head. I attach a picture of the spot.
